Did you know there is a fish in the Fraser River that can grow to be 6m long and weigh 800kg.

It is a prehistoric fish that has lived on Earth since the time of the dinosaurs.

This elusive fish is the White Sturgeon. Come to the Discovery Centre today to view specimens, play a survival game, see a puppet show, and make cool sturgeon crafts to take home.

From the gentle mountain stream at the base of Mount Robson, through the white water rapids of the canyon to the silt mudflats, Rick Blacklaws has captured the magnificence of the Fraser River in photographs.

Join Rick Blacklaws for an intimate portrait of the Fraser River and a discussion about the techniques used to snap some of his most spectacular photographs published in “The Fraser River”.

Then use this knowledge and inspiration to snap stunning views of the river to enter into our upcoming photography exhibit.
