Did you know there is a fish in the Fraser River that can grow to be 6m long and weigh 800kg.

It is a prehistoric fish that has lived on Earth since the time of the dinosaurs.

This elusive fish is the White Sturgeon. Come to the Discovery Centre today to view specimens, play a survival game, see a puppet show, and make cool sturgeon crafts to take home.

Join us for the 55th Langara College Community Lecture series, “Globalization, eh?”. Lecture by Margo Chapman-Kendall.

Sheexplains how there is no single global food crisis, nor is there a single food movement. Rather, there are many diverse food issues facing the globalized world.

A remarkable variety of social movements have emerged in response to these challenging and important issues.

We will survey a number of these, starting globally and finishing locally.
